Mr. Vordahl,broad,master for the N 2. j ailway being present, informed Mr, Messer that. he did not know of those `eonditions ' but would take steps necessary to prevent the recurran.ce, { A. conoun.ication from the . ablic Service Commission in re- j Bard to the City's, application: for an increased water rate was read and all other correspondence relative thereto in which the Cori-mission recommended a higher rate than was applied for and the necessity of readvertising if the Council desired-to further increase the rate previously applied for. It was moored by Councilman Vordahl and seconded by councilman Clark that the minimum and flat rates of 400 enbid feet be increased to 'x;:2.50 with & 10 per cent, discount if paid within ten days from date of Thill and that the next 604 feet be increased to 35? per hundred evbie feet. The motion carried. The question of delinquencies under the provisions of Ordinance No. 90 was cussed. It was moved by Alderman. Znndsen and seconded by Alderman Clark that the Clerk render a statement to all delinquents . -Mr. Hageman referred to the Treasurer's report in which 71 there was a defici t in the garbage account and stated that the day policeman, lVlr. Bundy, had been instructed to collect certain a-mounts to be turned in to the City and as there were no available records, the Clerk was instructed to request Mr, Bundy to file a list of those who had not paid and to be present at the next reg- ular meeting to ex-plain fully. It eras moved and seconded that the police force be re- dnoed for the,:pr esen.t and the Clerk be instructed to notify Mx, Bundy that his services would not be regaired regularly after November 15th. The motion carried. It was moved by 06rmcilman Vordahl and seconded by Councilman Clark that in order to reduce expenses in the water department that Harry Schrapps be notified that his services would not be required after November 10th. The motion carried.
