the City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session at the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called
o order by Mayor frank f right at 8:00 P. ICI. on Oct, 11, 1921.
Upon roll call, the following..a.ldermen answered present;

his report of the audit of the City Accounts of duly 31,

Mr. Godfrey explained in detail the different transfers and re- w
commended that funds be transferred back to the Water Bond link-

ing Fund and Interest Fund and Sewer Sinking Fund and Interest
Fund as soon as funds were available in the accounts to which
this money has been transferred and that all funds now on hand in
r Special Improvement Districts which had received funds from the
Sinking and=Interest Funds be returned immediately. The Clerk
was instructed to confer with the City Treasurer and drag suitable
resolutions for the transfer of these funds.
A, TJ, Gee, representative of the Ohio Oil Company and
- dolma, McFadyen, filed fo xmal appli cat ion for the granting of a fran-
chise for the purpose of laying gas mains and laterals within the
City and the operation of the said utility. The application .as fil-
ed contained the wording of a proposed ordinance which was discussed
at length. 11r. Gee defended the points criticized and it was finally
decided to accept the provisions as submitted,

Ordinance No. 2341 being an ordinance providing for a

gas and to manufacture, furnish, convey, distribute and sell arti-
ficial gas to said City of Laurel, and the inhabitants thereof,

Second Ward City Hall.
Third Ward: al. Lumber Company,

the Ct?7 Council, appointed the following named persons in and
for each registratio istrict in the City of Laurel to act as
registry Agents, to-Wt:
First 'hard: Mrs W. . Page-gage residence
Second Ward,, Mrs, 0. Rw, Horen-Banrel Bakeryt
Third Ward: B. J. Berger-Merchants Hotel;
Fourth War& A, Pontius, .A,* & A# Pontius Store,
none of whom, are holding any- off ice under the ,government of
said City and all of whom are qualified electors;and directed
that the.0`lerk advertise in one issue of the laurel Outlook,
a weekl newspaper published in the City of Laurel, at least
five (5T days before the expiration of the time provided for
registration, the time and place mere the Registry Agent for
each Xegistration district will occupy his office and will re-
oeive the names of persons who shall apply for registration.
October 25th and 26th were designated as the days set for
the registration of all quali- ied electors and that the -
Registry Agents keep their repsective offices open the fol.-
lowing hours: 8:00 A. IA, to 10:00 2. M. on each of said two
days
It was moved and seconded: that we do now adjourn.
Motion carried.
