Laurel, Xantana March 29th,1921.
The City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana met in spe-
cial session at the Council Ghemberoin the Qity Hall and was called
to order by Mayor Davis at 8:15 2.:9. At roll call the following Alder-
man were present- Brohaugh, Bundy, Sara sman, Vo rdahl, Morris, Ha geman.
Absent; Kenyon and Knudsen.
The matter of making a change in our present meaner of hand-
ling new service connections was discussed and deferred until the next TAPS
regular meeting of the Council at whieh, time the Committee on ardinan-
ees is to report and make recommendations along this line,
The .Mayor asked the Councils s pleasure regaring the lumber on j
hand at the pump-house-whether it should be sold or otherwise disposed LUH3
of. It was finally decided to keep same in our possession. for use later
in connection with the-new settling basin structure.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the owner or owners of the
Strand Theatre to refrain in the future from setting bill boards or ad- STRAND
vertising signs on sdewalkd or attached to lamp posts,
On motion 'duly made,seconded and carried,the Clerk was instruct-

The report of the Committee investigating the local jail cell
matter was read. It was moved and seconded that the Clerk write Mr. E. I
G. Gates= that the said cells were the 'property of the City of Laurel. J11IL
Motion carried.
On motion duly made,seconded and carried.,the Mayor appointed
Alderman Brohaugh,Morris and hageman as a committee to arrange for die CITY 1
construction of several filing cases and to negotiate with the agent's of RECORDS i
the old: Laurel State Bank building fora lease or the rental of their
vault so that the City's records might be properly filed in a secure
place.;

water commissioner's request be granted, Motion carried.
Alderman Brohaugh advised the Council of the need. of a check CH C K,
valve for the small pump at the pump-house. The Mayor then appointed' VALV
the following Committee to make such purchase and have same installed.

and seconded that we now adjourn. Motion carried.
