The City Council of the City of laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamber at the City Hall and was called
to order by Eels V"ordahl, president of the Council, at 8:00 P., M,
November 16, 1922.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present: _
Clark
Kenyon
Knudsen
Price
Richardson
Wold
The president instructed the Clerk to read the tele-
gram from the State Highway Commission in reference to the
issuance of bonds to Wickham Bros. & aehwieger in payment of
work done in Special Improvement District No. 53. Mr. Clark
and Mr. Sahwieger appeared and requested the issuance of bonds
in the amount of $209400.00 as set out in the telegram stating
that their reason for requesting the entire issue at this time
was that they had promised to deliver the bonds at this time.
After a lengthy discussion which extended until 9;15.at thich
time the Mayor appeared and the president of the Council va
sated the chair for the continuance of bu.sinesst. It was moved
by Alderman Price and seconded by Alderman Clark that in order
that the contractors might be informed as to the City Council's
attitude in the issuance of bong in excess of their percentage
that the City Council would, at the second regular meeting of
the City Council, instruct the issuance of bonds in the amount
of 56%. of the estimate if an estimate from the State Highway
Commission should be received by that time. The motion earried.
It was moved and seoonded that we do now adjourn..
The motion carried.
