Oct. 241, 1922.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in an adjourned
-regular session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was
called to order by 11ayor rank Wright at 8:00 P. 1J. Tuesday, Oct-
ober 24th.

The minutes of October 3rd and October 17th were read
and aor)roved.
re-port of the Water Committee was read in which they
recomraended the purchase of a 3-stage Allis-Chalmers, centrifugal
-glxn_o for 111,856.00, providing they furnish suitable base and con-
nections for the 100 H. P., G. E. motor which is now connected to
a Worthington pump. It was moved by Knudsen and seconded -0
Hageman that the re-!Dort of the Committee be acce-oted- and.the Mayor
and -Clerk authorized to -purchase the bump. The motion carried.
The contract and bond of Rickham Bros. & Schwieger was
oresentea end read. It was moved by Price(.ar d seconded by Wold
that the bond and contract be a-p-oroved. The motion carried.
Estimates Vos 1 and 2 for 9""10 239.31 for S-oecial Im-
pxoveri.ent District !%o. 53 were presented end read. It was moved
by told and s econded by Price that the esti.roates be a -proved and
that the 14Iayor and City Clerk be authorized to issue bonds to the
amount of $10,200.00 to f ickham .giros. & Schtirrieger. The motion
carried.
Estimate No. 2 for ;12,100 less =k)5, 600.00 allow6d
in EstLmate No. 1, for S?aecial Im-orovement District No. 54 was
presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Wold
that the estimate by prroved aaa that the h.ayor and City Clerk
be authorized to issue ponds to the amount of 86,400.00 to 11. E.
Evens Contracting i om_nany, upon receirt of q?1,595.00 cash in pay -
ment of engineering and incidentals on said district. The motion
carried. -
ESOLU`i10N NO, 280
Resolution No. 280, .being a resolution. levying and as-
sensing, atax u:oon all the -propin Special Improvement District
No. 50 of the City of Lasurel, «ontana, to defray the cost of mak-
ing improvements in Said Snecial Ire-,rovenent District,was presented
and read. It was moved by Knudsen and seconded by Vordahl that
said Resolution be provialdnally passed. Upon roll cell, all
Aldermen present voted aye and said Resolution No. 280 was declared
Provisionally passed.

Resolution No. 281, being a resolution levying and as-
sessing a ta-x upon all the property an Special Im_provernment District
No. 51 of the City of Lmrel, Iiontana, to defray the cost of mak-
ing improvements in said Special Im-rarovement :district was pre-
sented and read. It was moved by Vord_avhl and seconded by Hage-
man that- said Resolution be .:provisionally passed. Upon roll call,
all -aldermen present voted aye --and said Resolution No. 2f1 was
deci area provisionally .passed.
After some discussion of the culverts on alder Avenue,
?. it krras moved and seconded that the !Mayor a.gpoint a committee to
make recommendations at t+me next regular meeting of the City
Council. The motion carried.. The`reuioon, the 1.1ayo r appointed

A recu.est for the extension of time for he completion
of Special Improvement District {a. 54 to November 20, 19222 vlas
read. It was moved ana seconded that the extension be granted.
The motion carried.

Police Judge, was read. It vices moved ana seconded that the bona
be p-om ved. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
