M., August 28, 1922. Upon roll call, the following.Aldermen answered present: KnudsEn Wold Clark Richardson. Ken ©. I n The resignation.of J. B Platt as Police Fudge of the City of Laurel-in which he requested it to be effective this day was read. It was moved by Kenyon and seconded by Knudsen that it be accepted.. The motion carried. The Mayor thereupon appointed George Lorne' as Police Judge. It was moved and seconded. that the appointment be approved. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye except Richardson who voted no Thereupon, the appointment was declar?d approved... The Clerk read a letter from the American Gast Iron Pipe Company in which they reunested a guarantee of maturity for the eater warrants given in payment of the pipe that the City expected ? to purchase-, Thereupon., it was moved and seconded that the City Clerk be instructed to make arrangements with the banks and to order only-the eight-inch pipe.
