Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Montana, .August 1, 1922, Porsuan.t to the adjournment of the meeting of July 25th, the City Council of the City of Laurel met in an ad- Journed regular session at the City Hall on Tuesday evening, August 1, 1922, and was called to order at 7:15 P, M, by or Frank Wright presiding. The following Aldermen were present at roll call: Vor dahl Clark Hageman• Kenyon Pri ee Richardson. Wold m .,. Absent: K23u?seYi. ::: Quorum present. L. 4 RESOLUTION NO. 266 Resolution No, 266 was introduced by Alderman Vordahl and read at length, 'entitled, AA Resolution prescribing the form, denomination and rate of interest of Bonds of Special. Improvement District No. 50 and providing for the time of payment and re- demption of said Bondsu Alderman.Clark moved that said Resolution be adopted. as read; duly seconded and carried by the followim.g aye and no vote, to-wit: Ages: Aldermen. Vo xdahl, Clark, Hagemaan, Kenyon., Price, Richardson, Wold, Noes: None. Absent; Aldermana. Knudsen, Thereupon the Mayor declared said Resolution da.ly a- dopted and signed and approved the same in the presence of the Council* RESOLUTION NO. 267. ° Thereupon, Resolution No. -267 was introduced by Alder- man Wold and read at length,, entitled, 7A,_ 'Resolution prescribing the f orm, denomination and rate of interest of bonds of special Improvement Dietri ct' No. 51 sad providing for the time of pap- meat and redemption of said,.Bonds"; Alderman Kenyon moved that said Resolution be adopted 'as read; duly seconded end carried by the following aye and no vote, to-wit: Ages; Aldermen Vor- Bahl, Clark, Hageman, Kenyon, Price, Richardson, Wold; noes: None. Absent: Alderman Knudsen, Thereupon, the Mayor declared said Resolution duly adopted and signed and approved the same in the presence of the Council. ORDINANCE NO. 247 Being an ordinance creating a fund to be known as "Fund of Special Improvement District No, 50 of the City of Latxel" was presented and read. After some discussion, it was .efefred" to the Street and Alley Committee, After due deliberation,, the Committee reported back recommending its immediate passage. It was, moved aid seconded that the report of the Committee be a- dopted and that the unanimous consent and vote of the Council be had to place Ordinance No. 247 on its immediate passage. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye, It was mewed and seconded that Ordinance No, 247 be now passed. .d adopted.. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye and the said. Ordinance was declared passed and adopted., ORDINANCE NO. 248 Being an ordinance creating a fund to be known. as "Fund of Special. Improvement District No. 51 of the City of Laurel`s was presented and read. :After some discussion., it was referred to the Street and Alley Committee. After due deliberation, the Committee reported back recommending its immediate passage, it was moved and seconded that the report of the Committee be a- dopted and that the unanimous consent and vote" of the Council be had to place Ordinance No. 248 upon its immediate passage. 'upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. It was moved ?-•. and seconded that Ordinance No. 248 be now passed and adopted. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye and the said Ordinance was declared passed anal adopted. r. 77 L Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Estimate No. 1 of Special Improvement District No. 50 was submitted by T. A. Rigm.eys Oity Engineer,, and duly ; read. Said estimate showed work completed pursuant to specifications in the sum of 3875.00 It was moved by j . derman Verdahl and: seconded by Alderman Price that the estimate be allowed and that the Clerk and Mayor be au-thorized to execute bends in the denomination of 4500.00 each to cover the amount of the estimate less the fractional bond. The mo tion carried, Estimate No,* ?. of Special Improvement District No. 51, prepared by T, A* Rigmey, City Engineer, was submitted and. read. Said estimate showed mork completed in acemrdanee with 'specifi cations in the amount of $2740.0©. It was moved by Alderman Price and seconded by Alderman Aichard.son that the estimate be allowed and that the Clerk and. Yayo-r be aufthorized to execute bonds inn.. the. denominations of $500.00 each to cover the said estimate less tractional brad. The motion Barried.. This being the time set for receiving bids and the letting of a contract for the improvements in Speeial Improve` ment District po 52, the Clerk was instructed to own ar?d read all bids submitted. 't'here was but one bid on file, the sane being the bid of 12abrioe I'. Kiley,. which same was s follows; No. 1. As specified curshed gravel and san4: 5-inch sidewalk, per sq ft, `25 Concrete curb, per linear foot .95 ,; No. 2 Suitable natural sand and gravel: 5-inch concrete sidewalk,, per sq, ft, .?3 Concrete curb, per linear foot .87 Grading, per en yd. 1.04 Street and Avenue games impressed Free The Mayor .referred the same to a Committee consisting of Clark, Rageman and nyon who after some consideration, referred Ithe matter back to the Council with the recommendation that the bid - be accepted and contract ;allowed for crushed gravel at the a- - mount mentioned in, the said bid. It was moved and seconded that the report of the Committee be adcipted. and that the contract for the improvements in Special Improvement District No. 52 be award.- ed to Maurice p. gil ey for crwhed gravel at the amount specified 1. in his bid.
