Pursuant to adjournment of June 282 19229 the City Council of the City of Laurel met in a regular adjourned session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 8-00 P, M., June 30, 1922, and was called to order by Mayor Frank irigh.t. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered presents Vor Bahl Clark Hageman Kenyon Knudsen Richardson `Nol d The Committee appointed at the regular adjourned meeting of June 28th to make recommendation on the bids submitted for the construction of improvements in Special Improvement District No, 53 reported that inasmuch as irregularities existed in the bids submitted and that the lowest bid was in excess of the prevailing prices for the principal items in Special Improvement District No, 53 that they recommended .that all bids be rejected and the work readvertised. It was moved by Richardson and seconded by Clark that the report of the Committee be accepted. The motion carried. The Committee appointed at the regular adjourned meeting of June 28th to make recommendation on the bids submitted for the construction of improvements in Special Improvement District No, 54 reported that inasmuch as irregularities existed in the bids: submitted and that the lowest bid was in excess of the prevailing prices for the principal items in Special Improvement District No. 54 that they recommended that 'all bids be rejected and the work readvertised, it was ?moved by Knudsen and seconded by Clark that the report of the Committee be adopted. Power Co. 74,73 A bill of Roy Jones for $3,00 was held pending investigation, also a bill for Laurence Nauman for $5.00 for a Meter Deposit. It was. moved and seconded that the report of the Committee be adopted and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants upon the proper funds in payment of the bills allowed, The motion carried, Mr. Kiley appeared before the Council and rea_uested that he be permitted to eliminate the angle irons from the top of his side walk forms in Special Improvement District.
