Pursuant to the adjournment of the regular meeting of
TvTay 2nd, the City Council of the City of Laurel met in an ad-
journed regular session -in the Council Chamber at the City Hall
and was called to order by Liayor Frank i7righ'i, at 8:00 P. M.,
May 4, 1922.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present:

Clark
Kenyon
Price
Richardson
Wold
The Committee, composed of Jlold, Knudsen and Price.,
which was appointed at the last regular meeting of the City
Council to invest-igate the dog tax on female dogs -reported
that they had not come to an agreement and thought that the
matter of changing ordinances should be referred to the whole
Council. After some discussion, it was moved and seconded
that the tax be reduced to $5.00 and that the City Attorney
be instructed to draw suitable ordinance. The motion carried.
1,dr. Eflin, District Engineer for the State Highway
Comzlission, appeared to discuss the paving project on h1ain
Street. After a short talk on the aims and wishes of the
State Highway Coi mission and the Bureau of Public Ijoads, he
stated that he mould be glad to answer any questions that he
might be able to answer at this time. After considerable
discussion, the City Clerk and City Attorney were instructed
to draw suitable resolution for the creation of the Paving
and Drainage Districts for the next regular meeting of the
city Council'.
RESOLUTION NO. 248.

Resolution No. 2482 being a Resolution of Intention
to create Special Improvement District No. 52 of the `City of
Laurel for the construction of sidewalk and curb on '.Flashing-
ton Avenue between Fifth and Sixth. Streets,. was presented
and read. After some discussion, it was referred to the Com-
mittee on Streets and Alleys who reported back recommending
the passage of said Resolution. It was moved and seconded
that the report of the Co:ri7mitt ee be adopted and that the
unanimous consent and vote of the Council be had to place
Resolution No. 248 upon its immediate passage. Upon, roll
call, all Aldermen present voted "Ayer". It was then moved
and seconded that Resolution No. 248 be passed and adopted.
Upon roll call, all Ald-ernien present voted "Aye" and said
Resolution No. 248 was declared Imssed and ado?oted.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
The motion carried.
