Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, ront ana,
March 1, 1922,
The City Council of the City. of Laurel met in special
session at the Council Chamber in the City hall for the purpose
of electing a Police Judge and was called to order by Mayor Frank
Wright at 8:00 P. M. March 1, 1922.
Upon roll call, the following 4-ldermen answered present:
Vo rdahl
Clark
Hageman
Kenyon
Knudsen
Richardson
8 ausman
The Mayor stated that Mr. White would not qualify for
Police Judge and that nominations were now in order. Thereupon
Kenyon nominated J. B. Platt, the nomination being seconded by
Alderman Knudsen. Thereupon it was moved and seconded that the
nominations be closed and a ballot be taken for the election of
J. B. Platt to the office of Police Judge. The motion carried.,
Thereupon the Clerk was instructed to call the roll and all
Aldermen present voted. "Aye" and J. B. Platt was declared duly
elected Police Judge.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
