December 4, 1923.
The City Co=ci 1 of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Cotrnc_1 Chanber in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor H. L. Carlisle at 8 o'clock P. M. December 4,
1923.

The minutes of 14ovember 20th and 22nd were reed and
ao-oroved.
The re-nort> of the Police Judge for 'the months of
.,.}W sg?ust, September, October and November, the City Treasurer's
report for the month of %ovei,,iaer, the Gdater Cornm-.issionerf s
re-oort for the month of October an d the Chief of Police
report for the month of 1ovember were read. It was moved by
Price -?nd seconded by 'doll that the re forts be approved. The
motion carried.
the bills for the month of 14ovember were -oresented
and were by the Mayor referred to the 1 inence Committee who
retired foy audit and re port on same. Lfter due deliberation
the coilmittee re-oorted back to the Council recommending that
the following- bills be paid and that Jarrants be drawn u.oon
the ironer fzunds in payment of same:

of the site for the settling basin and that they would report
at a later meeting.
The committee re-norted that Jackson had consented to
give the City an easement for a period of ten- (10) years along
the river to the City dump ground for t1'ie sum of ,25.00. They
stated that Mr. Jackson had offered to sell the land to the City
for $75,00 an acre, but after recondidering the matter, he had
decided that' he should have $150.00 per acre and had reported
this to one or two of the members of the committee since their
last meeting, The City Attorney was. instructed to proceed under
the first agreement reached.
It was moved and seconded that we do adjourn. The
motion carried.
