The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular ?
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor H. A. Carlisle at 8:00 oI clock i'. 11. Nov-
ember 22, 1923.

The minutes of October 2nd, October 16th and
Noverlber 6th were read and a-o-oroved.
The retort of the City treasurer was read. It i7ras
moved by Price and seconded by fv'old that the re-oort be aa-
roved. The motion carried.
The report of the 'V`:[ater Commissioner for the months of
_`I.uAust and Se-otember was read. It was moved by -.fold and second-
ed by Gurn_ that, the report be a-oproved. The motion carried.
request for the reduction in the garbage tax for
H. I N1. Starkey tiaras presented. It was moved by kr4old and seconded
by 007 that the request be tabled. The motion carried.
After some discussion of the matter relating to the
,purchase of the site for the settling basin and right-of-way
for the new yoi-,pe line, J-1. zrrf s moved by Price and seconded by
-Told that the Committee on T=ight and'rfater go over the ground
and to get in touch ivi.th John Jackson and obtain an offer for
the lard and to re-oort at a later meeting. The motion carried.
