November 6, 1923.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called
to order by hilayor H. A. Carlisle at 8:00 of clock P. IvI. November
6, 1923 .

Councilmen Hageman and Ya.udsen, members of the :Finance
Committee, being absent, the Mayor appointed Coy and 1a1old.
The bills for the month of October were presented
and were by the I, ay or referred to the Finance Committ ee who
retired for audit and, report on same. The Committee, after
due deliberation, -r eported back to the Council recommending
that the following bills be paid and that warrants be drawn upon
the proper fur?_ds in payment of the same :

The Committee further reported approval of the following bills
with the recommendation ghat the same be conditionally allowed
and that the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper
funds in j.Dayment of the same as soon as the money is available
for the payment thereof, but not otherwise:

it was -moved and seconded that the report of the Finance Committee
be adoloted and the warrants be issued in payment in the manner
recommended by the Committee. The motion carried.
Mayor Carlisle stated that 1-drs. Graff had removed and
that he wished to nominate Idiss Ruth Nutting to take her dace
on the Library Board. It was moved by 'Ylold and seconded by Coy
that the a-bpointment be approved. The motion carried.
A letter -Lrom the Laurel Auto Supply Company in regard
to cashing warrants held by them was read. After some discussion.,
it was moved and seconded that the Mayor interview the City
Treasurer and see if any arrangements could be made for cashing
-part of their warrants. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
