May 8, 1923,
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor H, A. Carlisle at 8:00 P. M., May 8, 19230
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present..
Fenton
Knudsen
Nicola
Perm
Wold
L
A petition, by J, Lonne for the construction of an
implement shed 301 x'701 on the Northern Pacific H3g;bt-of-
ay adjoining the Occident Elevator on the west to be con-
structed with frame work and corrogated iron siding with
rubberoid roofing, was presented and read., After some dis-
cussion of the matter of permitting any further building of
frame structures inside of the fire limits, it was moved try
Knudsen and seconded by Nicola that the permit be re j ect6d:.
The motion carried.
The matter of constructing aconcrete crossing at
the Masonic Temple on Third Street was discussed, It was
moved by Mold and seconded by Perry that the City Engineer be
instructed to have the crossing constructed and the crossing
on First avenue at this corner repaiied, The motion carried.
It was moved by old and seconded by Nicola that
the crossing at the high school be repaired. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
The motion carried.
