The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chamber and was called to order by Mayor Frank Wright at 8:00 P. 11.9 May 1, 1923. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present. Vord.ahl Carlisle Clark Hageman Knudsen The bills for the month of April were referred to the Finance Committee and after due deliberation, the Committee re- ported back recommending the payment of-the following bills; J. The motion carried. Mr. Price.. arrived at this point and participated in the further actions of the Council. A petition for the construction of a frame garage on Lot 10, Block 4, LaurelRealty Subdivision, signed by Andy Angelos, was presented and read. After some discussion, it.was moved by Price and seconded by Clark that the permit be granted. The motion carried, Mr. Wright, retiring Mayor, made a short talk of ap- preciation for the loyal support of the Council during his ad- ministration and requested Mr. H. A. Carlisle, the incoming Mayor, to talk, Mr. Carlisle discussed the problems of the City and stated that he would submit the names of the appointees while he had the floor, After a lengthy discussion in which others partici- pated, it was moved and seconded that we do now adjournq The motion carried, 10i ?e; k. ove d this day of, 1923, ATTEST: GIi' FRK. /?7 94YOR .
