March 122 1923.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor Frank Wright at 8:00 P. M., March 12, 1923..
. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present:
in
I
Vordahl
Clark
Carlisle
Richardson.
'Mold
The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called to
consider the problems of the Fire Department. Wold and. Carlisle,
members of the Fire and Police Committee, reported that they
believed a suitable arrangement could be made with the Laurel
Auto Supply Company. There being a nu*ber.of Firemen present,
they were asked to give their recommendations.
Bundy, Price, Rees and Anderson talked on their pro-
blems anal suggested S. F. Anderson as Fire Chief and H. E.
Schrapps as assistant. Thereupon the Mayor appointed S. E
Anderson as Fired Chief and H. F. Scharpps as assistant,
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Clark that
the appointment be approved. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that the Fire and Police
Committee be authorized to submit a contract for the storage
of the. fire track and equipment by the next regular meeting
of the City Council. The motion carries..
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
