Minutes of the City-Council of Laurel
Laurel, Montw a,
January 29,.1923.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor frank ' 7ri ght at 8:00 2. IvI. January 29 1923.
Upon roll call, the following Aldemen answered present:
Vordahl
Clark
Hageman
Price
Richardson
The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called to
consider the cancellation of pumping contract of C. E. Gilbreath.
Thereupon, Mr. Gilbreath filed written request to have contract
cancelled. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Price that
the contract be terrainated January 31st in accordance with Mr.
Gilbreath's wishes. The motion. carried.
An application of Thos. Ramsey was read and verbal
application was made by Joe Brohaugh and Tom Winters.
It was moved and seconded that the Mayor make a
temporary appointment until sufficient time had elapsed for
advertising for contract. The motion carried..
After some discussion, the Mayor appointed Joe
Brohaugh. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded. by Hageman
that the appointment be approved. The motion carried..
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
The motion carried.
