The City Council of the City of Laurel met in adjourned regular session in the dounca chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor-H, A. Carlisle at 8:00 o'clock P. F. November 5, 1924. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present; Perry Porter Wold Libe cap Graves The minutes of October 21st and 28th were read and approved. The reports of Vera Sturm, City Treasurer, F. R. Cooper, Police Judge and George R. Lonna, Acting Chief of Police, were read. It was moved by Vold and seconded by Perry that the reports be approved and filed. The motion carried. The bills for the month of October were referred to the Finance Committee. Coy and Gum being absent, the Mayor appointed,-Perry and Pa ster to serve with Grates on the Finance Committee. Rigney' 250.00 The Committee also rec ommended payment of the following bills out of the Operating Fonda Russell Sage! $7,50 for board of prisoner,, C. H. Barney' $5.00 and G. L. Avery, 4 5.00, as extra police and George R. b onne, $2.25, taking prisoner to Billings. Lorne 37,50 Laurel Fire Dept. 27,00 Laurel Auto Supply 36,70 Laurel Auto Supply 19,8E It was moved by Wold and seconded by Graves that the report of the committee be adopted and that the warrants be issued in the manner recommended by the committee, The motion carried, The Water Commissioner reported that H. P. Schulze had requested permission, to water his stock at the public hydrant on Sixth Avenue and had requested that a flat rate be made on account of the impracticability of installing a meter. It was moved by Wold and Seconded by Parry that the Water Commissioner be instructed to fix a suitable rate with Mr. Schulze and suggested that this rate be about ?6 *00 per month. The motion carried. The Clerk reported that the City Treasurer wished instructions in regard to the payment of interest can out- standing bonds in Special Improvement District No. 3. It was moved and seconded that aetion be delayed until a report eould. be had from the City Attorney.
