October 7, 1924.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Ball and was called
to order by Mayor H. A. Carlisle at 8:00 oT clock P. I.
October 7, 19246
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present:

Gum
Perry
Nicola
Graves
The report of the City Treasurer was read. It was
moved by Coy and seconded by Gum that the report be approved.
The motion carried.
The reports of the Chief of Police and Police Judge
were read and approved.
The bills for the month of September were referred to
the Finance Committee. After due deliberation, the committee
reported back recommending the payment of the following bills:

The Committee further reported approval of the following bills
with the recommendation that the same be conditionally allowed
and the Clerk be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper
funds in payment thereof as soon as sufficient funds are avail-
able for payment thereof, but not otherwise:
Laurel Auto Supply Co. 17.70 George R. Lorne 37.50
It was moved and seconded that the report of the committee be
adopted and that the warrants be issued in the manner recommended
by the dommittee. The motion carried.
Mr. L. A. Nutting appeared before the City Council
and stated that he would like to buy four or five hundred feet
• of the eight inch wood main that was being salvaged from
Special Improvement Disttict No. 62. It was moved and seconded
that the City Engineer and act as a committee to dedide
upoh the price. The otion teedo
The City Engineer reported that he had had othere
requests for pipe. It was moved and seconded that the question
be reconsidered. The motion carried. Thereupon, it was moved
and seconded that the City Engineer and Mayor be appoihted as
a committee to dispose of all the surplus pipe available. The
motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do. now adjourn. The
motion carried.
