Laurel, Fontana,
September 22, 1924.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in adjourned
regular session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was
called to order by Mayor H. A. Carlisle at 8:00 o'clock P. ivi,
September 22, 1924.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present:
Wold
Perry
Nicola
Coy
Gum
Libecap
ORDINANCE NO. 277.
Ordinance No. 277, being an ordinance creating fund
to be known as "Fund of Special Improvement District No. 62 of
the City of Laurel," was presented and read. After some
discussion, it was referred to a committee consisting of Wold,
Coy and Perry. After due deliberation, the committee reported
back recommending its immediate passage. It Was moved and
seconded that the report of the committee be adopted and that
the unanimous consent of the Council be had to place Ordinance
No. 277 upon its immediate passage, Upon roll call, all .Alder-
men present voted aye. It was moved and seconded that Ordinance
No. 277 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call, all Aldermen
present voted aye and said ordinance was declare., passed and
adopted.
RESOLUTION NO. 311.
Resolution No. 311, being a resolution prescribing
the form, denomination and rate of interest of bonds of
Special Improvement District No. 62 and providing for the tiiB
Of payment and redemption of said bonds, was presented and
read. It was moved by Coy and seconded by Nicola that said
resolution be passed as read. Upon roll call, all Aldermen
present voted aye and said resolution was declared passed
and adopted.
Estimate No', 1 for J. Jy Burley, contractor of
Special Improvement 'District No. 62, was submitted by T. A.
Rigney, City Engineer, and duly read. Said estimate showed
materials furnished to the amount of $2440.20 less ten per
cent. withheld in accordance with contract, making a net
estimate of }2200.00. It was moved by Wold and seconded by
Coy that said estimate be allowed and the Mayor and City
Clerk be authorized to execute and deliver bonds in the amount
of `2200WO as soon as all pipe furnished was delivered on
the ground,.__2he motion carried,
A bill of J. J. Burley for x¢280,,00 for one hundred
feet of 12 inch cast iron pipe was presented. It was moved
by Wo ld and se-eo nd0d by Perry that the rules for the payment
of bills be suspended and this bill be, allowed. The motion
carri a d..
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn,
