The reports of the police Fudge, Chief of Police,
City Treasurer end Water Commissioner for the previous month
were read and approved.
This being the time set for receiving bids for re.,
infOreement. material for the settling basin., the Mayor in-
strueted the Clerk to open and read all bids submitted., The
bids submitted were as follows:

It was moved and seconded that the Marr appo ant a committee to
pass upon the bids submitted* Thereupon, the Mayor appointed
Wold, Price, Knudsen and Perry. After dim deliberation, the
eommittee xreported back recommending the purchase of the material
from the, BillingsHardware Company in accordance with their bid
snbmittedr It was moved and seconded that the report of the
gammittea be adopted and that the yor and City Clerk be
uthor ized to enter con.traet with the Billings Hardware Company
for. the purchase o f. the material sp ee ifie d. The 'mot ion carried..
The bills. for_ the month of March were referred to the
Fi ee Committee and after due deliberation, the Committee
reported bask recommouU3. g that the following bills be paid ana
warrants drawn upon, the proper funds in payment of same:

The Committee further reported approval of the following bills
with the recommendation, that the same be conditionally allowed,
and the Clerk, be authorized to draw warrants upon the proper
funds in payment of the same as soon as the money is. availabe
for payment thereof, but not otherwise:

It was moved and seconded that the report of the committee be
adopted and that warrants be issued in payment in the manner
recommended by the dommittee. The motion carried.

Mr. Conrad, Mr Frank Blain and Mr. George Shearer
appeared before the City Cqunoil dm regard,to the fines of Mrs.
W. H. Steinke being remitted for list*birag the peace in that
neigb.borhood. After some discussion, it was moved by Wold and
seconded by Ha.geman that the Mayor be requested to interview
the Police Judge and to request him to review the redordn for
her previous offences and to give the matter his most oarefal,
attention before imposing sentence if she again appears in his
court. The motion carried,
It was moved and seconded that the Mayor be requested
to make arrangements for the keeping of prisoners in the County
jail for those that could not be retained in the City jail. The
motion carried,,
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn# The
motion carried.
