The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor H. C. Knudsen at 8:00 o'clock P. M. Tuesday, August 18, 1925* present: Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered Gum Wold Chamberlin Perry Hartley The minutes of August 4th and 11th were read and approved. The first and final Estimate for the sidewalk con- structed on Fourth Street, between Pennsylvania and Wyoming Avenues, for Harry Penninger in the amount of $425.00, was presented and read. It was moved by Fold and seconded by Gum that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to issue and de- liver warrants on.the Special Sidewalk and Curb Fund in the amount of.-$425.00. The motion carried. The report of the Water Commissioner for the month of dune was presented and read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Hartley that the report be approved. The motion carried. Mr. W. J. Mulvaney, president of the Overland - Billings Company, appeared before the Council and requested that tourists be not fined and presented a letter from the Yellowstone Trail Association in which they proposed to ad- veitise Laurel as being unfair unless the practice was dis- continued. The discussion ended, with no motion. Mr. Starkey, Mr. Topping and Mr. Stewart appeared before the Council and protested the closing of South First Avenue. It was decided to postpone action until a later date. It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The motion carried, ty ' erk. Approved this day of , 19250 ?? mayor. ATTEST : le r l.
