The City Council of the City of Laurel met in an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council tin the Council. Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor H. C. Knudsen at 8:00 o'clock P. M. August 11, 1925. Upon roll call-, the following Aldermen answe re d present.* Cop Gum, Wold Chamberlin. Perry Hartley Estimate No, 3, being the Final Estimate of the City { Engineer for J. J. Burley, Contractor in Special Improvement District No, 63, was presented to the Council and read. Said Estimate being in the sum of 22, 000.00, less the amount of Estimates Nos. 1 and 2 amounting to $13,000.00, leaving a net amount due under Estimate No; 3 of $9,000.00. It was moved by Coy and seconded by wold ghat Estimate No. 3 be approved as read. The motion carried. The bill of J. J. Burley, contractor in Special Im- Provement District No. 63 of $90.00 for extra concrete and drainage conduits in crosswalks and for the sum of $200.00 due for extra grading was presented to the Council and read. It was moved by Coy and seconded by Chanberli.n that the claim Of $90.00 for extra concrete and drainage conduits in crosswalks be allowed, The motion carried.. It was mooted by Wold and seconded by Chamberlin that the claim for $200.00 for extra grading be allowed. The mo t ion earr ied The bill of W. E. Chamberlin, amounting to $155,00 for services rendered as inspector. in Improvement Dist-riot No, 63, was presented to the Council and read. It was moved by Wol.d and seconded by Coy that the bill be allowed. The motion carried. It was moved by Mold and seconded by Coy that the City Engineer be authorized to pay for legal services in said District No. 63 an amount equivalent to one per cent. (1%) of the grew amount of contract in said 'Nistriet. The same to be deducted from incidentals and paid in cash. The motion carried... It was moved by Coy and seconded by Wold that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to issue and deliver to J. J. Burley, contract in, Special Improvement District No. 63, bonds in the amount of $9,300.00 upon his paying to the City.42260.95, $10.00 of which is to be deposited in the Fund of Speei4l Im provement District No. 63, the same being the amount in excess of outstanding claims against said district and also upon his furnishing affidavit shoring the payment of claims for labor and materials, The motion carried, RESOLUTIONS NOS. 322- 3Z?_ 3240 . Resolutions No. 322 for lighting District No. 1,. No,,, 323 for Lighting District No. 2, No 324 for removal of garbagea; were presented for final passage. The Clerk produced proof of publication in the laurel Outlook and informed the City Council that no protests had been received. It was moved by Alderman wo1,d and seconded by Alderman Perry that final passage anal ap- proval of these resolutions be made, Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. Thereupon the Mayor declared Resolutions Nos, 322, 523 and 324 finally passed and adopted.. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Montana, August 11, 1925: The contract awarded to Harry 2enninger August 4, 1925, was presented and read.
