June 24, 1925.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in an
adjourned regular meeting of t-he City Council in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by i ayor
H. 0. ?nudsen at 8-.00-o'clock P . Li. June 24, 1925.

Ordinance No 282, being an ordinance creating
Fund of 6-oecial I rovement District o. 639 was presented
and read. !Liter some discussion, it was referred. to a
cor tAttee corns isting of avoid, G-uia and Coy. 1dtex due de-
liberation, the co .mittee reported back recommending its
irimieaiate passaSe. It was _noved by 'u'lold and second-ea by
Gin that the report of the cormnittee be adopted aYid that
the unanirnou? consent and vote of the council be had to

roll call, t,ll Aldermen Present voted aye. It -?7vas moved

resolution i o. 319, being resolution -prescribing
the Lorna:, denomination and rate of interest of bonds of
8Pecial1provenientistric c o. 63, a r d providing for the
time of redeiTotion of said bonds, was Presented and read.
After some discussion, it was moved by Coy and seconded by
Perry that said resolution be passed. and adopted. :ihe
?notion carried.

was -oresented and read, it was moved by Coy and seconded
by +fold. that the estimate be approved and that the %ayor
and City Clerk be authorized 'co issue and deliver bonds
in the amount of 4,A600.00, vvhich cads a,; ,y?roximL,tely 90`jo
of said estimate. 11"he motion carried,
1t1 r. Harris, president of the Park City State Bank
a.,,pearea_ before the Council to discuss the matter of bonds
offered as surety by his bank, 1?fter a lengthy discussion,
it as -noved by Coy and seconded by Chamberlin that the
matter be referred to the I'l inance Committee. The motion

Tune 24, 1925,
The City attorney called attention to the fact that
there were not funds available for the advertising of the Peter
Knudsen sidewalk and suggested that a pledge be made by lair.
Knudsen to' pay the expense in case the City was not able to
make a contract. Whereupon, the Mayor instructed the Clerk to
write such a letter to Imo. Knuc en.
After some discussion?of the City truck, it was moved. by told
and seconded by ferry that the Mayor, City Clerk and Coy be
auwhorized a committee to purchase the truck. The motion
carr ied..
Barney Hageman appeared before the Council and re-
.quested that the Fire Department be permitted to put on a
carnival. After some discussion, it was moved by Gum and
seconded by Chaxbe rlin that the request be granted. 'The
motion was lost o
The City treasurer requested instructions on the
$169000.00 Liberty Bond held in trust for the American Bank.
It was moved by Cop and seconded by :ferry that the City
Treasurer be authorized to sell the bonds. The motion carried.
It was moved by Wold and seconded by Berry that the
City Treasurer be authorized to sell the 05,000#00 worth of
Liberty Bonds in her possession and to return to the American'
Bank any s-arplus over and etm-m the amount the City. The
motion carried,
it was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
The motion carried.
