she City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Ball and was called.
to order by TTayor H. C. Knudsen at 8:00 oI clock P. 1,. Ala.y 19,
1925.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present;
Perry
Hartley
Chamberlin
Graves

Gum
The minutes of May 5thtwerread and approved.
This bei:dg the time set for receiving bids for the
_.._.! comtruction of improvements in Special improvement District
No. 63, sidewalk, the ?Tayor instructed the Clerk to open and
read the bids subritted, which were as follows:

The Idayor appointed a committee, consisting of Berry, Chamberlin
and Hartley to review the bids submitted. after due deliberation,
the committee reported back recommending that contract be awarded
to J. J. Burley in accordance with the bid submitted. It was
rn.oved by Gum and seconded by Graves that the report of the
Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, Montana,

committee be adopted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be
authorized to execute contract oh-'-behalf.-.of -th.e City with
the said J, J. Burley. `s'he motion carried.
After some discussion in regard to the City attempting
to pay for the crosswalks from the ;street :Fund, it was moved by
Perry and seconded by Hartley that they be paid for in the manner
set out in the resolution creating the district. The motion
carr ied,
The City Engineer requested permission to hire an
inspector for the sidewalk job. It was moved by Iffold and
aeconded by Graves that the City Engineer be authorized to hire
an inspector at ?5,00 per daft, The motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 318.
Resolution No. 318, being a resolution transferring
funds, was presented and read. It was moved by mold and seconded
by Ga?aves that said resolution be passed and adopted as read,
the motion carried..
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn,
The motion carried.
