The` City Council of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council .-Chamber in the City Hall and was called
to order by Mayor H. A. Carlisle at 7a40 o'clock P. M* January
28, 1925.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present,
Coy
Chambe rl inc.
Gum
Graves
Perry
The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called
in response to a request from the Board of County Commissioners
to allow them and the Railway Company to divert water that had
found its way into the storm sewer at the west edge of the City
into the old wood grater main at the intersection of First Ave-
nue and Main Street. Mr. Richardson, chairman of the Board
being present, stated that he believed this arrangement would
prevent the snow and ice from accumulating on the county road
near the N. P. ice house. It was moved and seconded that per-
misa ion be given to them to make a temporary connect ion as
outlined, The motion carried,
It was moved and seconded that we do adjourn. The
motion ca= ied.
