September 21, 1926.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by Idayor H, 0. Knudsen at 8:00 o'clock 2, b l. September 21,
1926.

Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present;
Coy
Gum
Chamberlin
V or dahl
Hartle
The minutes of September 7th were read and approved.
A contract with i. sal. Carter for the construction of
work in Special Improvement District No, 64 was read. It Tams
moved by Gum and seconded by Hartley that the contract be ap-
proved. The motion carried,
A dontract with R. L. Cleveland for the painting of
the water tank for `186.50 was reand and approved.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Gum that it
be left to the descretion of the 'Hater Commissioner whether
.or not the inside be painted. The motion carried.

l ayor stated that Mr. Lair. requested permission
to construct a game garage in Block 7, Nast Laurel Subdivision
for drs.. Watsabaugh, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by
Corr that the. petition be rejected on account of its being inside
the fire limi te. The motion carried,
A CustodianT s Receipt from the Federal Reserve Bank
for .5,000,Q0 worth of Government bonds, held for the Midland
T'ational Bank, was read. It was moved by Coy and seconded by
Ferry that this be acceptAd as surety for said bank. The
motion carried,
It was moved by Corr and seconded by Gzum that the
City Engineer be authorized to purchase enough gravel from
Garter to gravel First Avenue, between the pauement and N. F.
Railroad, The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that vie do now adjourn. The
motion carried,
