Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Montana, . Feb. 16, 1926. J The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by 0 M. Wold, President of the Council, at 800 o'clock P, M. February 3.61 1926. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present. Gum Chaerlin Graves Perry Hartley The minutes of February 2nd were read and approved. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of January was presented and .read, It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Perry that the report be approved. The motion carried.. The Water Commissioner's report for the month of .December, 1925, was presented and read. It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Chamberlin that the report be approved. The motion carried. The committee that had been appointed to investigate price of a water tank and wagon reported with what information they had. After some discussion, it was decided to defer action until. a later meeting. A proposal from Jos. F. Auel for the furnishing of 500 feet of rubber lined cotton hose was presented and read. After some discussion, the Clerk was instructed to write and ascertain if that price would apply to 200 or 250 feet. Alderman Porter arrived at this time and participated in the further actions of the Council. A receipt for $10,000.00 worth of Liberty Bonds as surety for the Midland Rational Bank was presented and read. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Hartley that the bond be approved. The motion carried. The State Examiner's report covering the period from December 1. 1924, to December 28, 1925, was presented anal ' read. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel,, Monta3.a, Feb. 16, 19261 The matter of bonding the Police Judge and Police Officer was referred to the City Attorney for his attention. ORDINANCE NO. 283. Ordinance No 283, being an ordinance revising and amending Article 31, ghapter 6 of Ordinance No, 228, being the revised ordinances of the City of Laurel, Montana, pertaining to license, was presented and read. After some discussion, it was referred to a committee consisting Graves, Hartley and Gum. After due deliberation, the committee reported back recommending its immediate passage. It was moved by Perm and seconded by Hartley that the report of the committee be adopted and that the unanimous consent and vote of the Council be had to place Ordinance loo:. 283 upon its immediate passage. Upon roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Perry that said Ordinance No. 283 be passed and adopted. Upon roll call, q11 Aldermen present voted aye and said ordinance was declared passed and adopted. It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
