laurel, Montana,
November 1, 19 27 .
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by tlayor James Kucera at 8:00 o' clock P. M. November 1, 1927.
Upon roll call, the following .Aldermen, answered present;
Gum.
Chamberlin
Graves
Hartley
Vordahl
The minutes of th e iftebting of October 18th r d Oc tober
25th were read-:and approved .
The report of the Police Judge was read. It was moved
by Gum and seconded by Chamberlin than the report be approv ed.
The motion carried.
The report of the Chief of Police was read. It.was
moved by Hartley and second ed by Vordahl that the report be ap-
proved.. The motion carried .
The report of the City Treasurer was presented and
read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Graves that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The bills for the month of October were -referred to the
Finance Committee and `after due deliberation, the committee re-
ported recommending the payment of the following bills

It was moved by Vord.ahl and seconded by Chamberlin that the report
of the committee be adopted and that warrants be issued in the
manner recommended by the committee. The motion carried.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Graves that the bills of
Quilico Brothers for X5.55, Laurel Fire Dept. b!embers $or $21.00,
Laurel Outlook for $5'7.901, C. A. Du*can for 32.609J. F. McDonald
fot 427,00, Vera Sturm for $50.00, Herbert Bailey for $14445 and
Community Store for $4,00 be paid out of the Operating Fund, The
motion carried.
The Chief of the Fire Department filed the names of the
active members of the Fire Department which were as follows;
H. V. Libecap, G. W. Fenton, H. E. Lonne, E. H. Conger, N A. .
Freund, H. E. Schrapps, Thomas Garr, Elmer Sherrow, John Quilico,
Reese Price, Frank Quilico, R. E. Stapleton, J. E. Boger, and
H. E. Herbert, He also recommended S. E. A.nderson for membership,
Thereupon, the Mayor Warned S. E. Anderson as a member of the Fire
Department. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that
the appointment 'be approved. The motion carried.
Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, ldontana,
November 1, 1927.
The matter of draining the street on Yellowstone Avenue
and South Fifth Street was discussed and referred to the Street
and Alley Committee.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
lotion carried.
