Minutes of the City Council of Laurel

The City Cout.cil of the City of. Laurel met in Special
session in the Council Charmer in the City Hall any was called
to order ky Mayor Fames Euce-ra at 8:00 O'clock P. M.. September 24,
1927.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present:
Porter
Webber
Gum
Chamberlin
Perry
V or dahl
Graves
Hartley
A report of the Water Committee was presented and
read in which they proposed to lease the City's facilities
to the Northern. Pacific Railway Company and pump cater to the
settling basin for $1410.00 per annum. It was moved by Hartley
and seconded by Gum that the report be rejected. Upon roll call,
all present voted no except hartley and Gum.. Some objections
were offered to the wording of the report of the committee,
thereupon, the committee requested permission to file a new
report which was granted. After reading the report of the
committee, it was moved by graves and seconded by Porter that
the report of the committee be accepted. The motion carried..
It was moved by Perry and seconded by 'Vordahl that the
City Clem be instructed to write the Northern Pacific Railway
Company official of their decision., The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that vie do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
