Laurel, Montana,
September 20, 1927,
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was call6d
to o rder by Mayor James Kucera at 8:00 o'clock P. M. September 20,
19 27 .
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered
present:
Porter
Gum
Chanb e ruin
Perry
Vordahl
Graves
Has t ley
The minutes of September 6th were read and approved.
Letters from fix. Tummey of the Montana Tax Payers
Association were read and order tabled.
The Water Committee, which had been requested to
repot on the complaint of 0. E. Jefferies at the last regular
wetting, reported that. they, could see-.no. reason for asking the
Public Service Commission to change the rate at this time, It
was moved and seconded that the report of the Committee be
adopted, The motion carried.
It was reported that the residents along graded streets,
.particularly Juniper Avenue, were filling in the water ways with-
out placing culverts. The City Engineer was instructed to have
them stop the practice,
It was reported that R. E. Stapleton was selling gas
stoves. It was moved and seconded that the City Treasurer be
requested to bill him for license. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
