Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, Montana;
August 16, 1921.
The City Council of the City of Zaurel met in regular
session in the Gounc l Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by Mayor James Knoera at 8:00 o'clock P. M. .August' 16,. 1927,
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present;

The minutes of the regular meeting of Aug t 2rnd and
a Special Meeting of, Angust 5th were read and approved;
The matter of draining the street intersection at the
South Side School was discussed. It was moved by ferry and
seconded by Graves that the Street and :Alley Committee be in-
struete.d to authorize the expenditure necessary, providing the
School Board o-dld assist, The motion carried.
A petition for the construction of a concrete , side-
walk on Montana Avenues between. Fourth and Fifth Streets, was
presented and read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by
Chamberlin that the City Attorney' and City ,Clerk be instructed
to draw necessary resolAtion.. The motion carried.
This being the time set for receiving bids on
Special Improvement Districts Nos. 65 and 66, the Clerk was in-
structed to open: and read all bids.submitted. He reported that J
no bids had been received,
The 'Committee on Fire and Police reported that it woul&
require Three ',or Four dollars to test o-at the sire.. It was
moved by Ch;,Ibe lin and seconded by Gum that a. _test be made. The
motion Barrie d.
The 'Mayor made the following changes in the standing
committees; P Webber instead of Vordahl; SEWER- Webber
instead. o f GUM.
It was moved by .ferry and seconder by Chamberlin that
the Mayor be requested, to ca-I a `Special meeting with the Fire
Department to 'adjust their, differences. the motion carried.
it was oved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried!
