The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor H. C. Knudsen at 8:00 o' clock P. M. February 159 1927. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present; Coy Porter Gum Chamberlin Perry Vordahl Graves Hartley The minutes of February lst were read-:and approved. A petition, signed by a number of property hold-ore in the vicinity of Mr,. Beighley's workshop on Block 5, Laurel Realty Subdivision petitioning the City Council to permit Mr. Beighley',s building to remain, was presented and read. Mr. Beighley appeared and stated that he knew he was trespassing and re c ue sted the Council to be as lenient toward him as they could consistently be. After some -discussion, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the petition be tabled until the next meeting of the City Council. The motion carried. was moved by Coy Policeman be requested to assistd the cC tyaTreasurer in a collecting dog licenses and that he be paid fifty cents per dog, dead or alive, The motion carried.
