The City Council of the 'City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by Mayor H C. KA-a"en. at 8:00 o'clock P. M Tuesday
January 18, 1927.
Upon roll call, to following Aldermen answered present;
Coy
_ . `:- .Porter
Chamberlin.
Gum
Perry
Vor Bahl
Graves
Hartley
The minutes of the meeting of January 4th were read.
It was moved by Vordahi and secarAed by Porter that they be ap-
proved, The motion carried.
The-corrected report of the Police Fudge was read. It
was moved by L and seconded: by Hartley that the report be ap-
proved. The motion carried.
Mr, Horning asked for special rates for watering cows.
As there are not special rates for watering cows, he was Wevsd
that he would have to pay the regular monthly rate for using
water from the hydrant,
It was moved by Gum and seconded by Vordahl that the
years supply of water bills be ordered from the State Publishing_ _..... , ..
Company for $22.50. The motion carried.
It was moved by Coy and seconded by Gum that the City
Council recommend that the Mayor ask the sheriff to appoint Henry
Her7gert as deputy sheriff here. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
