Laurel, Montana,
December 4, 1928.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the city mall and was called to
order by Mayor James Kucera at 8:00 of clock P. ivi, December 4, 1928,
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present:
Pe rry
Gum
uhamberlin
Vordahl
Har t ley
Graves
The minutes of November 20th were read and approved,
The report of the ?;i ty Treasurer was presented and read,
It was moved by Gum and seconded by Graves that the report be ap-
proved, The motion carried.
The report of the Police judge was presented and read,
It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Vordahl that the report
be approved, The motion carried.
The report of the Police officer was presented and read.
It was moved by VVordahl and seconded by Hartley that the re port be
approved. The motion carried,
The report of the eater Commissioner was present ed and
read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Graves that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The bills for the month of November were referred to the
Finance Committee and after due deliberation the Committee reported
back recommending the payment of the following bills;

It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that the repor t of
.the committee be adopted and that warrants be issued in the manner
recommended by the Committee. The motion carried.
It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that the Igill of
midwest Drug Co, for 4; 7.OO,B.. D. Shaffer for :125.00, Montana Power
Co. for 119.72, Billings Gas Co. for `113.85, City ,,dater Dept, for
010.68 and Holmes Lumber Co. tot 111,50 be paid out of the Operating
.Fund. The motion carried.
It was moved by Perry and seconded by Chamberlin that bill
for firee call of 119.00, outside of the City, be tabled unt il

January 1, 1929. The motion carried,
The Street and Alley Committee reported on the light at
First Avenue and: First Street and recommended that two lights be
constructed on the existing pole at, a cast?:?of $77,00, providing,
the interested parties on First .Avenue raise that amount of money
and that the current be charged to Bpee al Improvement Lighting
District No, 2, It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Vordshl
that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to have lights con-
structed as soon as the interested parties had raised the x;77000,
The motion carried,
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the
committee working on delinquent,p3mperty proceed until lots were
sold, The motion carried,
After some discussion of flat rates for lawns, the Mayor
instructed the Water Committee to report at the next regular meet-
ing, The motion carried.
It was moved by Perry and seconded by Hartley that we do
now adjourn., The motion carried,
