Id. September 4, 192.8. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answeredpresent; Perry Gum Chamberlin Graves Weber Vordahl The minutes of august 21st and 22nd were read and appr ov ed. The report of the Police Officer was presented and read. It was moved by Vorda hl and seconded by Lieber that the report be approved. The motion carried. L...._ The report of the Police Judge was presented and read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Chamberlin that the report be approved. The mot ion carried, e The report of the City Treasurer was presented and read. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the report be approved. The motion carried. ? The bills for the month of august were referred to the Finance Committee and after due deliberation, the committee reported back recommending the payment of the following bills; H. Wks. 16.21 Lumb, Trust Co. 10.00 It was moved by Perry and seconded by Gum that the report of the Committee be adopted and that warrants be issued in the manner recommended by the Committee, The motion carried. It was moved bar Perry and seconded by Gum that the bill of H. Bailey for $28.87, H. E. Herbert for 41115.00, H.' Bailey for 017.82 and Laurel Outlook for r?12,00 be paid out of the operating Fund. The motion carried, Cdr. N. 111. Smith appeared before the Council and asked consideration on his sidewalk and requested that his neighbors be required to use incineraters in buying papers and refuse. The matter was referred to the Street and Alley committee for report at the next regular meeting of the Oity Council. The City Attorney was requested to draft a set of rules for traffic regulations. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the Mayor's appointment of an additional policeman to assist in traffic control be approved and the special police retained until the Mayor and.
