The City Council.of the City of Laurel met in special
session in the Council Chamtger in the City Hall and was called
to order by T7ayor James Kucera at 8: M P.- 11. July 19, 1928.

Upon roll call, the following Alde:cme'n answered present:
Gum
Chamberlain
Vordahl
Graves
Hartley
Perry
A Committee of the American Legion appeared before the
council:to secure special permission to locate the Carnival between .
F enton' s office and the Masonic Temple and asked that First 6 UY eet
between First Avenue and Montana Avenue be closed up for that purpose.
Tyr,. Berger and Mx,. Rich were the persons interested in the action
and appeared-before the Council to 'offer their objections. These
objections were finally withdrawn end it:,&as11-moved by Vordahl and
seconded by Graves that the Carnival be allowed t:o close First l

July 22nd to 28th inclusive. The motion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn.
