The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session: in the Council Chamber and was called to order by Mayor
James Kucera at 8:00 o' olock P. M, April b, , 1928.
Upon roll callg, tT.e following Aldermen answered present;
' Porter
Weber
Chamberlin
Perry
Vo rdahl
Graves
Hartley
The minutes of Match 20th were read. It was moved by
Hartley. and seconded by Perry that the minutes be approved, The
motion carried.
The report of the Police Officer was .presented and read.
It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Graves that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The Police Judge's report was presented and read. It
was moved by Perry. and seconded by Hartley that the report be ap-
proved. The motion carried.
The City Treasurer's report was presented and read, It
was moved by-Porter and seconded by Perry that the report be ap-
proved.. The motion carried,,
The City `ffater Commissioner's report for the two previo
months was presented and read, It was moved by Verdahl and seconded
by Hartley that the reports be approved.. The motion carried.
The bills for the month of March were referred to the
Finance Committee and after due deliberation, the committee reported
back recommending the payment of the following bills.

It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that the report of the"
Committee be adopted. and that warrants be issued in the manner re-
commended by the Committee. The motion carried.

After some discussion of the water bills, it was moved
by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that shut-off notices be mailed
before the 15th of the mouth to the follow g

After some discussion of the license problem, it was
moved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the City Treasurer
be instructed to skp the second quarter. The motion, carried,
The Police Officer appeared before the Council and°dis
cussed police matter,
After some discussion of the condition' of the alley on
Main Street, the Mayor requested the Street and Alley Committee,
the Fire Committee', the. Chief of Police and Health Officer to meet
with him Sunday morning to make an inspection of the alley# y
It was moved and seconded that we do now adj ouru.uatU
7:30 P. M. April 9, 1928, at which time any unfinished business
would be disposed of, The motion carried,
