The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regulax session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor James Kucera at 8..00 o'clock P, 11, Tuesday, Feb- ruary 7, 1928. Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present; Perry Guth Porter Chamb e if tin Graves Hartley Vordahl 'Weber The minutes of January 17th were read and approved, The report of the Police Judge for the month of Jan- uar7 was presented and read. it was moved by Vorda.hl and see- onded by Gum than the report be approved. The motion carried. The report Oi the Police Officer was presented and read. It vTas moved by Perry anc_ seconded by Porter that the report be approved. The motion carried, The report of the lily Txeasuxer was presented and read. It was moved by Poxter and seconded by Gum that the report be approved. The motion carried, The report o- the V'7atex Commissioner was presented and read. It eras moved. by Perry and seconded by Porter that the report be approved. The motion carried. The motion carried. It was moved by Gum and seconded 'by Perry that the bills of Billings Gas Co. for .15.50, Laurel Outlook for 032.30, IJ,ontana Power Co. for 012.65, S. E. Anderson Motor Co, fox $157. 80,. Eureka Fire Hose lgfg. Co. for ?,p265.17, Herbert Bailey fo r p6,20 And R. J. Williadiis fo r X25.00 be paid out of the Operati ng Fund. The motion carried. Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, 1vio nt ana, February 7, 1928. ORDINANCE NO. 290. Ordinance No, 290, being an ordinance revising and amending Section 469 of Article I, Chapter 14 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Laurel, 1921, relating to advertising for expenditures of =,500.00 or more, was presented for its. first reading. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Gum. that Ordinaice No. 290 be passed and approved upon passage and approval at final reading February 21, 1928. Upon roil call, all Aldermen present voted aye. ORDINANCE NO. 291. Ordinance No. 291, being an ordinance revising and amending Article IV, Chapter 3 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Laurel, 1921, fixing the salary of the Police Judge at 4300.00 per annum, was presented for its first reading. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley;- ithat Ordinance No. 291 be passed andapproved upon passage and approval at final `reading February 21, 1928. Upon-roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye . 11-he Street and Alley Committee requesterfurther time for their report on the purchase of street 'equipment which was ?.._ granted. A communication from the Fire Chief recoiunending Bob .'homson for meriioership in lieu of Bill .Fenton,?-resigned, was read. Thereupon , the Mayor appointed Bob Thomson as a member of the Fire Department. It was moved by :perry and seconded by Porter that the appointment be approved.
