Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, Montana,
j January 3, 1928.
The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Tull and was called to
order by }Mayor James hucera at 8:00 o'clock P M. Tuesday January
3, 1928„
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present:
Pere
Porter
Gum
Chamberlin.
Graves
Hartley
Vordahl
The minutes of December 20, 1927, were read. It was
moved by Vord.ahl and seconded by Hartley that they be approved.
The motion carried.
The report of the City Treasurer was presented and read.
It was iaoved by Chamberlin and seconded by Porter that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
The report of the Police Officer was presented and read.
It was moved by Gum and seconded by Graves that the report be ap-
proved. The motion carried.
The report of the Police Judge was presented and read.
It vas moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Hartley that the re-
port be approved. The motion carried.
The -report of the Mater Commissioner was presented and
read. It was moved by Gum and seconded by Porter that the report
be approved. The motion carried.
.The bills for the month of December, 1927, were referred
to the finance Committee and after due deliberation, the committee
reported back recomr-.ending the payment of the following bills:

It was moved by Perry and seconded by Porter that the report of
the Committee be adopted and that warrants 'be issued in the manner
reeoi ended by the Commiittee. The motid.n carried.
It vaa,s moved by Perry and seconded by Porter that the bills of
Montana Poorer Company for X4.20 and Laurel Ontlook-fox $9.00 be
paid out of the Operating Fund. The motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO, 348.
?1- Resolution Teo. 348, being a resolution transferring
certain funds of the City of jauxel, was presented and read,
It was moved 'by Vordahl and seconded 'by Hartley that said reso-
lution be passed and approve. Upon roll call, all Aldermen
presentetoted aye and said resolution was declared passed and
approved.

January 5, 19281.
The idayor called for a report of the wilding committee.
Ia. Gravest chairman of the committee,, reported.that they were not
ready to report and Mr. Vordahl reported on the interview with the
receive& of the Citizens Pational Bank. Further time was granted
to the committee.
After some discussion of the dog license problem, the
Mayor stated that he would publish notice in the paper as soon
as the license tags arxived.
It was moved and seconded that we do now adjourn. The
motion carried.
