Minutes of the City Council of Laurel

October 1, 19290
The City Council o the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called
to order by. lvlayor James Fucexa at S-.00 of clock P. 1,1. 17luesday
Gotober 11 1929.
Upon roll call, the follo wing Alae-rmen answered
present,
Ferry
Chamberlin
Porter
Graves
Vo raahl
the minutes of September 17th were read and approved.
_,Jxs. Foi.tius appeared be fore the Council wit h a letter
requesting some work to be done at the loti-7er end of th e pavement.
The Street Commissioner teas instru cted to fill in the bad hole,
_r. liait h appeared before the Council and -
re-quested license to open up a lunch counter at 211 '1.Jest 1.1ain
Street. The mat-te-r was referred to the c.o=A1,tee on Fire and
rolice.

that he u7 as not satisfie d tiP7ith a two coat job on the :e ater tank
and offered to paint the bowl one coat- for `:',12.50. He stated that
he believed that he coul d paint out all brush marks t-1i th one other
coat. It -t.,-,as moved by V ordahl and seconded by ]Jerry t hat the City
buy the ' adait ional paint and have r . Hearn paint the bowl one
other coal, for `;12.50. The motion carried.

It was moved by Chazberl in and sec o id a by Graves that the report
be a- oyoved. The motion caxried.

discussed. The Mayor requested the committee on Eire and Police
to report. IMIr. Chamberlin stated that arrangements had not been
made 'fox moving the fire truck, but that a report would be ready
