'The pity Council of the Uity of Laure 1 met in xe gula r
session in the council Chamber in the :)ity Fall and was called to
order 'phi it±ayor James Kucera at. 8:00 o'clock P, ivl. April 6 1929,
upon roll calif the following aldermen answered present:
Laird

Chamberlin
Perry
Vor dahl
Graves
The minutes of March 19th were read and approved.
miss Jhitham appeared before the Council and complained
that Father Shevlini s boys were knocking balls over in her garden
and lawn and stated that she could not hear them and that the
balls had on one or two occasions struck her 'and that she was
affrai.d to work in the. garden. hereupon, the ii-ayor instructed
the policeman to have the practice discontinued.
W. 0. Baker appeared before the Oouneil and stated that
he would like to put up one or two more oil and gas storage tanks
on his premises:'` He was instructed to file a written request with
plans showing to cation of tanks,
The report of 'dn e City Treasurer was presented and read.
It was moved by Gum and seconded by Porter that the report be
approved, -10he motion carried.
The report of the Police Judge 13as presented and read.
It was moved by Chamb erlin and seconded 'by Laird that the report
be approved. The mot ion carri ed.
The report of the :thief of Police was presented and read.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Graves that the re port be
approved. she motion cairied,
The bills for the mo nth of march were referred t o the
finance Committee and after du e deliberation the committee reported
'back recommending the payment of the following bills:

It was moved. 'by perry and seco nded by Gunn that the report of the
Committee be adopted and that warrants be issued in the manner
recommended by the Committee, The motion carried.

The motion carried.
A contract with hater users with E. A. Horning, E.,
Ebersviller and John Sevin was presented and read. It was moved
by Graves and seconded by Chamberlin that the contract be ap-
proved. -,'he motion carried.
After some discussion in regard to the regular collection
of license, it was moved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the
City Treasurer be instructed to collect second quarter license as
provided by Ordinances. 'he motion carried.
After some discussion in regard to the s_pting cleanup,
it was decided to begin April 8th, 1929.
It was thought advisable to begin to collect dog license
and to have chickens permed up,
It was moved by Perry and seconded by Voxdahl that O. V,
Hovre, E. "Do Mash, John erkheirier, ,. Go ,?turm and j. ? . Hodges be
granted. license for operating daries in accordance with the recom-
mendation of the Health Officer. 'he notion carried.
It was moved by "v'ordahl and seconded by terry that v.; e do
now adjourn, the motion carried.
