Minutes of the City Council of Laurel
Laurel, lVio nt ana ,
March 191 1929.
The City Council of the City of laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber in the City Hall and was called to
order by Mayor James Nucera dLt 8:00 o'clock B. TV1, Tuesday March
19,1929.
Upon roll call, the following aldermen answered presentl
Laird
Gum
Chamberlin
Vox dahl
Perry
Graves
Har tley
The minutes of March 5th were read and approved.
The Street and Alley Committee reported that they.,,had
authorized the purchase of six corrugated iron culverts from the
Midland Implement Company.
A letter from the County Commissioners in regard to tax
deed lots was read. Thereupr?u, the Mayor appointed , E. Chamberp
lin as a committee of one to interview the Outlook =d obtain pub-
licity to assist in sales.
On the City Txeasurext s request to have depository bond
of the Midland National Bank reduced to 05,000.00, it was moved by
Hartley and seconded by Gum that the Midland National Bank bond of
$20,000.00 be reduced to, $5,000,00 when the balance in that bank r
had deoTeased____'below $59,000,00, The motion carried.
After some. discussion of the second quaiter license, it
was moved by Vordahl and seconded by :ferry that the Finance Com
mittee check with the City Treasurer to see if it would -be necessary
to collect second quarter license, The motion carried.
It was moved by Hartley and seconded by hard that the City
Clerk be instructed to request Richardson to clean irrigation ditch
before water was turned on . The motion carried.
It was moved by Berry and seconded by Graves that we do now.,
.adjourn, The motion carried.
