The City Council of the City of Laurel met in regular
session in the Council Chamber. in the City Mall and was called
to order by Mayor dames ?.u rcers, at 8.00 Qi clflck P. 1-1. ?

December 16, 1930.
Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered present;
Barney
Chamberlin

Graves

The minutes of December 2. 1930, were read and approved.
RE801UTION NO. 381.
Resolution. No. 3811 being a r€-solution transferring P'
certain funds, was presented and read. It was move4 by Barney
and seconded by` Ohamberlin that said Resolution No, 381 be passed
and approved. The motion carried,
A request for a permit to move a building on Lots 11,
12 and: 13, Block 10, ,East Laurel Subdivision., by. B. E. Wallace
was presented, ii2twhieT he requested to remodel it into a garage.
It was moved by Chamberlinand seconded by Perry that the permit
be granted. The motion carried.
A request for the erection of a Neon Sign across Main I,
Street ~at Sherrow Brothers filling, station was presented. It was
moved by Hartley and seconded by Graves that the permit be granted.
The motion carried. k
request for a permit to erect a garage on the Methodist
Church property by T'. T. Pike was presented and read. It was moved
by Barney and aeconded by Hartley that the permit 'be 'granted. The
motion carried.
The City -easurer requested instructions as to what
classification to give the business operated by x. $. Barney and
she was instructed to consider the business a garage.' _
It was moved and seconded that vie do now adjourn. The
motion carded,
