M. ` uesd.8y November 4 1930, Upon roll call, the follo'Wing Aldermen answered preaent.; Brohaugh - Barney Vor dahl Perry Graves Hartley The minutes of October 21st were read and aapproved. The report of the City treasurer was.presented .and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Graves that the report be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Police Judge was presented and read. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Hartley that the report be approved. The motion mhxxied. Theke eporto0f! the Chief of Police was presented anal read. It was moved by G raves and seconded by Perry that the re- port be approved. The m otion carried.. Bond No 28-07 -357-29 in the ;amount of $500,00 by the United States Fidelity` and Guaranty `Company for R. Fritz mas pre sented and read. It was moved by-Barney and seconded by Hartley that the bond be approve d. The motion carried. The bills for the month of October were referred to the Finance Committee and af ter due deliberation, the Committee re- ported back recommending the payment of the following bills: Fred Heil 484,75 Montana Power Co. 1855.87. Vordahl and seconded hy?Barney that the protests be over-ruled and proceed to the creation declared insufficient and that the Council, of said I?istsict, The motion carried, RESOLUTION NO# 379. Resolution No, 379, being a resolution creating Special Improvement`P strict No. 68, was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by GzaVes that said resolution be passed and adopted:. The motion carried A request for a-permit by John Bennett to move a three room cottage from the corner of Third Street and Sixth Avenue.to Tots 13 and 14, Biook 5, Last laurel Subdivision, was presented and read. It'"was moved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the permit be granted. The motion carried. A request for permission to remodel his garage into a modern dwelling on the rear of Lots 12 2 and 3. Blook 11, Laurel Heights by J. V. Daniels, was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and. seconded by Perry that permit be granted. The motion carried. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that we do now adjourn. The motion carried. City C . It was moved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the report of the Committee be accepted and that warrants be issued in the manner, recommended by the Committee. The motion carried. It was #ioved by Perry and seconded by Vordahl that the bill of ,pity Water Department for 436,05, Herbert Bailey for $1.65, Montana Powar Company for 44.20, Fred Reil for $20,00-.Davis Transfer for $118.'75, -B. F. Thurston for $3.50, Goan-Motor Company for 23.Q5 and R. J. Williams for 5.00 be paid out of the Operat- ing Fund. The motion carried. This being the date fixed for the hearing and passing upon protests against the ..creation of Special Improvement Parking, District No. 1, the Mayor called for protests. The Clerk reed a protest from Zo. 1 . B. Held and reported that it was the only protest that had been filed and produced proof of publication and mailing as required. by Resolution No. 375, being the esolution of Intention to create Special Improvement Parking District No. 1. Thereupon, it was moved by Barney and Oeeonded by Hartley that the protest filed was insufficient and that the Gouncil proceed to the creation. of said District., The motion. carried. RESOLUTION NO, 378, Resolution No.--Z78, being a resoluution. creating .Special Improvement Parking District, No. 1, was presented and read.
