M. Tuesday September, 2, 1930. resents Upon roll call, the following Aldermen answered p Chamberlin Barney Vordahl Perry Graves The minutes of August 19th and 27th were read and approved, The report of the City Treasurer was presented and r ead. { It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the report-be approved. The motion carried. - The report of the Chief of Police was presented and read.. It was moved by Barney and seconded by Graves that the report be approved. The motion carried. i The report of the Police Judge was presented and read, j It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the report be approved, The motion carried. Mx S. 0. Harris appeared before the City Council in behalf of the Standard Oil Company and 3requesteet permission to move the light post on Colorado Avenue ?aoent>te_their property approximately twenty feet north, being the north side of the ! driveway to the filling station,, After some discussion, the Mayor { asked that action be deferred until. the Council had familiarized themselves with the--conditions. i A bond in the amount of t5OOO.OO for T. A. &ign.ey, City Clerk, Water Qommissioner and City Engineer, executed by the Mary- land Casualty 'Company, was presented and read. it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Perry that the bond be approved. The motion carried, An application for dairy license by the laurel Creamery was presented and read and referred to the Health Department. A xequest for a permit to construct a 'frame dwelling on Lots 14 and. 15, Block 3, Laurel Realty Subdivision by Henry Schessler, 47. was presented and read. It was moved by Barney and seconded by Chamberlin that the permit be granted. 'The motion carried. A request for a permit to construct a frame dwelling on l lots 11, 12, 13 and 14 Block 17, Laurel Heights Subdivision by James Rollman.- was .presented and read. It was moved by Perry - and seconded by Chamberlin that the permit be granted providing he made the building modern:, including connection with the sewer. The motion carried. { I The bills for the month of August were referred to the Finance Oommittee and after due deliberation, the Committee re- ported back recommending the payment of the following bills; M S. Company for $5.10, Montana Poser Company for 9.7 # ' Billings Gas -ompany for 41.25, Industrial 4 cadent Board for- 0.15, Goan Motor Company for $24030, John . Dawson, Ag&nt, for 10.00, Geo. Mite'sell for _X45.00' Joe Nicholas for $115"00. Laurel entlo©t for 25.50, Bob Coburn for r 1*00, The Irwin HoAson Company f-or 49.90, Herbert Bailey for $19.35 and Nti.ldred Erb `for X70.50 be paid out of the Operating Fund.. The motion carried.
