i The City Gouncil of the City of Laurel met in regular session. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall '(and 'was called to order by Mayor James Xmaera at 8:00 o? clock P. M. Tue ag duly 1, 1930. - Upen roll call, the following Aldermen answered present: Brohaugh { Barney Perry Vordahl Graves The minutes of June 17th were read and approved. The report of the City Treasurer for the m©nth of June was presented arid- read. It was moved by Vordahl' and seconded by Craves that the report be approved.. The motion oarried. The report of the Chief of Police- was prea-erited and read. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that the report be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Police Judge a presented and read. It was moved by Perry and seconded by Graves that the reppxt be approved-.. The motion carried. The bills for the month of June were referred to the Finance Committee and after due deliberation, the Committee re- poxted back recommending the payment' of the following bills; John W. 'The motion carried-, i Minutes of the City Council of Laurel Laurel, Montana, July lp 1930, AA petition for the erection of a Neon sign across fain Street at Second Avenue by Sherrow Brothers was presented and read. After some discussion, the matter was referred to the Street and alley committee. A communication, from the Laurel Volunteer Fire Depart- ment in which they reported the resignation of Dave Calkins and- recommended Mr. Territt for membership, was referred back as Mr. Territt had expressed a desire to have his man on the Fire De- partment. RESOLUTION NO. 373. Resolution No.. 373, being a resolution of Intention to create Special Improvement District No. 67, was presented and read. It was moved by vordahl and seconded by Barney that said resolu- tion be passed and adopted. Ujpan?roll call, all Aldermen present voted aye and said resolution was declared passed and adopted, it was moved by Perry and seconded by Brohaugh that we do now adjourn.
