November 1T, 1931.
The City Council of the city of Laurel net in-regular session
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called to order by
Mayor R. Broughton at 8:00 o'clock F. huh. November 11, 1931.
Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present:

The minutes. of November 3rd were read and approved.
Mr. Harms and Mr, Corwin, representing the Yellowstone Bank,
appreared before the Council requesting them to reconsider their action
taken at the last meeting of the City Council in which the Council resol- a
oved to require U. S. Government bonds'and designated the Federal Reserve
- Ban't of Helena as the custodian. It was "moved by Vordahl and seconded
by Chamberlin that the matter be referred to the Finance Committee and
City Attorney. The motion carried.

The City Treasurer's report on delinquent license was presented
and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that the re-
port be approved. The motion carried.
A request to operate a bowling alley by Harold. C. Zonne was
presented and read. It was moved by Hurless and seconded by Hartley that r
the license be granted.. the motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 400.
Resolution Igo. 400, being a resolution creating Special Im-
provement Lighting District No 3, was presented and read. It was moved
by Vordahl and seconded by Hurless that resolution No. 400, be past and
adopted. Upon roll call all aldermen present voted aye and said resol-
ution was declared pasi( and adopted.

ORDiTdANCE 140. 315.
Ordinance No. 315, being an ordinance providing for the r'ec-'
eiving of bids and letting of contract for construction of improvements
in Special Improvement Lighting District No.. 3, was presented and read.
It was moved by Hartley and seconded by Bray that said Ordinance Fo. 315 J
be past and adopted. Upon roll call all ldermen present voted aye and
said ordinance No. 315 was declared pas'nd adopted.
A corxection in the-Water Commissioners annual report to comply
with the Public aervioe Commission's instructions was presented and read.
It was moved by Vordahl and seeonded,;by Bray that the correction be filed.
The motion carried
After some discussion regarding bicycles on sidewalks the mat-
ter was referred to the City Attorney and Chief of Police.
It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hurless that the City
Clerk be instructed to notify 1dr. Kass and Mr. W. J. Arnold to "remove
their barbvuire from their premises. The motion carried.
After some discussion of theI,ight taxes on Mrs. Ida Hiller's
property on. 6th Avenue it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Click that
the amount paid for 1931 Light sax be refunded. The motion carried.
It was moved by Hurless and seconded by Vordahl that we do now
adjourn. The motion carried.
