Minutes of the City Council l of Laurel ._., Laurel, Montana October 20, 1931. The City Council of the City of Laurel .met in regular session in the Couneil Chamber in the City Hall and was called to order by Mayor R. Broughton. at 8; 00 o' clock P. M. Tuesday October 20, 1931. Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present: Bray Porter Chamberlin Click - Vordahl Hurless Hartley Graves The minutes of October 6th were read and approved,, The City Treasurer' s repoft of delinquent license was presented and read. After some discussion, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Click that the City Treasurer, be instruct- ed to force collection on all those delinquent more than one quarter. The motion carried. Mr . Territ Fit e J!'Chief, appreared before the City Council: and reported that there were a number of gaskets ,decayed on the cap of the fire plugs. It was moved by Hartley and seconded.by' Vordahl that the Water Commissioner be instruoyed to replace them. Motion carried. After some; discussion of fire hazards along 'Hain Street, it was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that the Fire Com- mittee and Chief of Fire .Department be instructed, to inspect the Fain Street Alley and- to instruct property owners to make the nee essary clean-up. The motion carried. The report of the Water Commissioner's delinquent accounts was presented and read. After some discussion, it was moved, by Click and seconded by Hartley that ,the Water .Commissioner be instruct- ed _to out off water for all those delinquent more than two months un- less there was sickness in the family. The motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 314. , Being an Ordinance repealing Ordinance. No . 273 of the city of Laurel, Laurel, Montana, was presented for final". passage' and' ap- proval. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that said ordinance be finally passed and approved. Upon roll call all Alder- men present voted aye and said ordinance_ was declared finally passed and approved. RESOLUTION NO. 397 Resolution No. 397, being a resolution levying and as ing a tax upon all property in special improvement district` No.. .59 of the city of Laurel, Montana, to defray the cost of making #;pr p _obe- ments in said special improvement district was resented for final passage. The Clerk produced proof of publication in the Laurel Out-t look and informed the City Council that no protests had been received. 1t yeas moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Click that final passage and approval of said resolution be made.. Upon roll caul, all Aldermen present voted aye. Thereupon the Mayor declared said Resoluti©n No 397 F_o finally passed and adopted. SOLUTION NO. 399. Resolution No . 399.1 being a resolution of intention to create Special Improvement Lighting District No. 3 of the :City` of Laurel, was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hartley that said resolution be passed and adopted. The,'..1"m©tion carried. A map from the Mountain States Tel. & Tel. Go. , showing the proposed changes in the City of 'Laurel pole and cable system was presented and ordered filed. Minutes of the City Council of ;Laurel The city Clerk was instructed to call Grover C. Jones and Mrs. W. H. Gill' s attention to the sidewalk in front of their property. The City1Clerk was instructed to notify J . F.. Weir to open up the main-way at his garage. It was moved by Vordahl `and seconded by Hartley that John Qu.ilico be requested to 'appear before the City Council in regard to the driveway in front of his garage. The motion carried.
