The City Council of the Ci:�y of Laurel met in regular seszion in the Council Chambers in the City Hall and was called to order by ivTayor R. Broughton at 8: 00 O' clock P. 1 . , Oato-b:er 6, 1931. Upon roll call the following aldermen answered present: Chamberlin Bray Click Hur 1 es s Vordahl Graves The minutes of Sept . 15th were read and approved. The report of the City Treasurer was presented and read. It was moved by Graves and seconded by Click that the report be approved. The motion carried. The report of the Chief of Police was presented and read. It was moved by Vordahl and seconded by Hurless thatithe report be approved, The motion carried. The report of the Police Judge was presented and read. It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Hurless that the report be approved. The motion carried. The bills for the month of September were referred to the Finance Committee and after due deliberation the committee re- ported back recommending the payment of the following bills: L. A. The motion carried. A request to construct a frame garage on lots 1 and 2, bock 8, Laurel Realty Subdivision by Mrs. Helen Anderson was pre- sented and read. It was moved by Chamberlin and seconded by Hurless that the permit be granted. The motion carried.
